AI translation built specifically for restaurant menus. Unlike Google Translate, IQ Rest's AI knows that 'carbonara' shouldn't become 'coal worker', that 'tartare' isn't translated literally, and that allergens, dietary terms and cooking techniques need precise wording. One click translates your entire menu into any of 35 languages — and you can edit any translation, anytime.

Tourists are some of your highest-margin guests, but they leave 30% of the menu unordered if they can't read it. Generic translation tools are worse than nothing — they butcher dish names, mistranslate ingredients, and make your restaurant look amateur to international guests. IQ Rest's AI was trained specifically on restaurant menus across cuisines: Italian, Spanish, French, Japanese, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Asian fusion. It knows what to translate, what to keep in the original (proper nouns, classic dish names), and how to phrase descriptions so they read like a real menu in the target language. You click 'translate', pick a language, and the entire menu — categories, dishes, descriptions, modifiers, allergen tags — is rendered in seconds. If you want to tweak a translation (say a regional spelling or a more poetic dish name), every line is editable. Add a new dish in your native language and the translations regenerate automatically across all 35 languages.

Ask on WhatsApp
How accurate is the AI compared to Google Translate?

Much better for food. Google Translate doesn't know that 'pulpo a la gallega' shouldn't be translated word-for-word, or that 'amuse-bouche' stays in French on a fine-dining menu. Our AI was trained on real restaurant menus and knows when to translate, when to transliterate, and when to keep the original. You can also edit any translation manually — useful for regional spellings.

How many languages do you support?

35 languages out of the box: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Serbian, Slovenian, Greek, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, Catalan, Irish Gaelic, Arabic, Persian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. RTL scripts like Arabic and Persian render correctly out of the box.

Do I have to translate everything manually first?

No. Write your menu in your native language, click 'translate', pick the languages you want — the AI does the rest. You can review and edit any translation, but you don't have to. Most restaurants set it up once and forget about it.

What happens when I add a new dish?

It auto-translates into every language you've enabled. You add 'Truffle risotto' in English with a description, hit save, and within seconds the dish appears translated in all your active languages. No re-running anything, no batch jobs.

Can guests switch languages on the menu?

Yes. The QR menu has a language selector at the top — guests tap a flag, the entire menu re-renders in their language. Or you can let it auto-detect from their phone's language settings, so a French tourist scanning your QR sees French immediately. No buttons to find, no friction.

Tourists can read it. Tourists order more.
